T E R M S   O F   S E R V I C E

  • Commissions are quoted on a case to case basis. The tier system is based on how much extra time the client would like me to work on the commissioned piece.

  • Due to the nature of commissions, there are no refunds available.

  • While quotes are guaranteed for 30 days, this does not mean this will be the final price. This simply means that should I raise my prices the day after I send you a quote, you will not have to pay those new prices with this commission.

  • Rush orders will be subject to a fee equal to 100% of the cost of the original commission. Ex. $50 becomes $100 with Rush Order.

    • If the client needs a rush order, the client MUST include that in the Quote Survey. I am not obligated to accept rush orders, therefore I need to see if my schedule will allow for the client’s deadline.

    • Rush Orders will require a 50% down payment to begin work.

  • All miniature commission work requires that the client either sends me the model(s), or provides the money for the model(s) upfront and I will purchase them.

  • All payments will go through PayPal. Please have a valid PayPal email address.

    • If the client requests special materials be purchased to be used on the commission, a 25% down-payment is required before I will purchase any of the materials. If it is not paid in 2 weeks upon receiving, you will lose your commission slot.

    • The final cost invoice will be sent after final images are approved. If it is not paid in 2 weeks upon receiving, the finish piece will be forfeited to me to resell.

  • A security down-payment will be required up front before I begin any work, minus the cost of any models I need to purchase. This is to cover initial materials up, in case a client decides to back out. This is non-refundable.

    • $50 up-front deposit on pieces quoted at $100+.

    • $25 up-front deposit on pieces quoted at $50+.

    • This deposit is part of the final price.

  • Shipping prices will not be determined until the piece is complete. It will be added to the final invoice.

    • If you ship a model to me for a commission, you will receive free shipping in return. This only applies to small models, not large diorama pieces or figures.

  • Unless otherwise requested, I will share my progress on my social medias.

    • Commissions will be streamed on Twitch.

  • It is requested that at least color schemes are picked out for the model. While I can go back and change colors or details if you do not like them, this will add time to the piece and ultimately, raise the price. We can discuss color schemes together if you are unsure.

    • Even providing one (1) color that you would like me to work from is better than none.

P R O C E S S   O F   C O M M I S S I O N

  • You fill out the ‘Get a Quote’ survey to the best of your ability. I review it and send you what I estimate the total cost of the figure will cost based off the information you have provided.

  • After you have accepted the quote price, a couple of things may happen:

    • A) Depending on the price of the quote, you will be requested to make a deposit ($50 for $100+; $25 for $50+). This deposit will be used to purchase models. If the models cost more than the deposit, then the deposit will be adjusted.

    • B) If you are sending me products, I will wait until they arrive and give you confirmation when they do. The deposit will still be required, however, that covers the initial cost of supplies and materials I use for your commission.

  • Once I have the items in my studio, I will begin working on your commission. Please note that I schedule in commissions in between other projects that I am working on as well, and thus complete commissions on a first come first serve basis. I will inform you when I receive the items I am waiting for and when I begin your commission.

  • You will receive a Work-in-Progress photo update after every work session with your commission. This might mean that you only see it primed and then almost finished. If at any point you would like to check on the progress, please feel free to ask.

  • When I am completed with your commission, I will take final photographs to be sent off for your approval. Please note that while I do my best to capture the true look of the model, some color variance is to be expected upon the final piece arriving to you.

  • Once the final images have been approved, I will send you an invoice via PayPal that will need to be paid before I ship the figure. You will have 2 weeks to send the payment; failure to pay the full commission price will result in the model becoming my property and resold at a determined price.

    • This invoice will include the shipping cost. Your deposit will show up on the invoice, but merely for receipt purposes - you don't have to double pay the deposit.

  • I will ship out finished commissions the following Tuesday or Friday. I do my very best to protect the miniature for shipping. In the case of minor damage (a delicate piece snapping off, etc), I cannot do anything about that. If the piece is completely damaged beyond repair, please get in contact with me immediately via email (ren@renruustudios.art) so that we may discuss options.
